Presentation of the Life Opere Project in energy efficiency of the University of Santiago de Compostela

Last Thursday 20th of March the Life Opere Project on energy efficiency in the tertiary sector being implemented by the University of Santiago de Compostela in the Building Monte da Condesa, was presented in the Faculty of Mathematics at the University. This is an initiative led by the Systems Laboratory at the University of Santiago de Compostela in collaboration with the Technology Centre EnergyLab.

The project seeks to achieve energy excellence in a building of multiple uses, a small-scale smart city prototype which reproduces the main uses from the tertiary sector, educational (Faculty of Optics), administrative (Department of Electronic Physiscs), research (Laboratory of Archaeology and Institute of Orthopaedics), residential (the university residence itself with more than five hundred residents) and hospitality (cafeteria and dining hall).
